Close Up: Kavan Smith chats to MGM

Popular Canadian actor Kavan Smith plays Major Evan Lorne on the almost now defunct MGM scifi series Stargate Atlantis. The handsome actor's origins on the Stargate franchise go back to 2003 when he popped up on the Stargate SG-1 episode Enemy Mine. He was never far away from the thoughts of the Stargate fan and eventually found his way onto Stargate Atlantis much to the delight of the fan.

MGM has posted a piece about Mr Smilth and how he got where he is today on the franchise, says MGM, "He has presented a solid, quiet and reassuring presence in Stargate Atlantis since the show’s second season. But what many viewers may not know is that Evan Lorne’s history with Stargate Command – and that of actor Kavan Smith – goes back far further than that. Way back, in fact, to before even Stargate SG-1 had hit the screen. Kavan Smith “Going way, way back, I was actually up for Michael Shanks’ role in the original series,” Smith explains, speaking, rather ironically, from a seat inside the disused Stargate SG-1 gateroom set. “So I knew some of the producers, and particularly Richard Dean Anderson’s partner Michael Greenburg. Heroes: Eris Quod Sum

NBC has released the cast and synopsis for the the Volume 3 Heroes episode Eris Quod Sum (E7).

Trapped and terrified, Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) and Tracy (Ali Larter) fight for their lives against a much-changed, monstrous Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) to free themselves, Maya (Dania Ramirez) and the doctor’s other “test subjects.” Elle (guest star Kristen Bell) returns, with a shock for Claire (Hayden Panettiere) and her family.

Meanwhile, aware of Peter’s (Milo Ventimiglia) ruthless take down by her rivals at Pinehearst, Angela (Cristine Rose) reaches out to convince Sylar (Zachary Quinto) to save his brother. Since he won’t sign up with the Villains, Daphne (guest star Brea Grant) is ordered by her boss to go back and kill Matt (Greg Grunberg), or be killed herself.

While in awe of the African precog’s power, Hiro (Masi Oka) still questions Usutu’s (guest star Ntare Mwine) advice on how to best face his gathering opponents. The Second Coming/The Butterfly Effect premieres on 9 October

Supernatural S404 Metamorphosis

Synopsis: Sam and Dean discover that Jack Montgomery, a family man, is turning into a Rugaru, a creature that starts as a human but changes into a flesh-eating monster. The people who are infected don't understand what is happening until they turn into cannibals and eat another person. Understanding what it is like to be a victim of a twisted destiny, Sam believes he can reason with Jack and convince him to control his urges. Dean doesn't think Jack's animalistic behavior can be subdued and decides the only honorable thing to do is to shoot him.

Airdate Australia: Providing it's not a public holiday, it's not the Silly Season, the episode isn't removed from the sked, there's no Aussie rules games on, the management at TEN disregard the unworkable and flawed AusTam ratings the airdate should be 20 October 2008.

Seven Network Confirms Knight Rider To Their Stable

Watching the US NFL footie on TEN HD this morning it was intersting to note the NBC commentators do an ad for the newish series Knight Rider, then later in the day get emails from our readers saying they had seen reports that suggest it is to be fast tracked to October 2008 in Australia on Seven.

So, as a site that doesn't listen to rumours, we contacted Seven to confirm, Seven told us that they can confirm Knight Rider will be aired in Australia but they as yet, don't have an air date. Somebody out here in TV land knows we suspect

Knight Rider 2008 Promo Piccies
