Seven Network Confirms Knight Rider To Their Stable

Watching the US NFL footie on TEN HD this morning it was intersting to note the NBC commentators do an ad for the newish series Knight Rider, then later in the day get emails from our readers saying they had seen reports that suggest it is to be fast tracked to October 2008 in Australia on Seven.

So, as a site that doesn't listen to rumours, we contacted Seven to confirm, Seven told us that they can confirm Knight Rider will be aired in Australia but they as yet, don't have an air date. Somebody out here in TV land knows we suspect

And so the second and new series of Knight Rider gets underway (after the huge success SciFi Channel US had with 'pilot' film) on 24 September with the first episode Knight in Shining Armour.NBC has released nine more images, three were released on 30 July

The new series is described as "the iconic 1980s television classic comes roaring back to life as a reinvented, updated and super-charged action series showcasing the new KITT (Knight Industries Three Thousand). Absolutely the coolest car ever created, KITT is equipped with an “AI” (artificial intelligence) that is capable of hacking almost any system. Its weapons systems match that of a jet fighter, and its body is capable of actually transforming into other vehicles and using sophisticated holographic imagery to elude villains".
