RDA & The Chevron Guy all set for Stargate Universe

OK, so the rumours have been doing the Gater rounds for yonks RDA will appear in the new Stargate series Stargate Universe, Brad Wright, co-creator of SCI FI Channel's upcoming Stargate Universe, revealed Stargate SG-1 star Richard Dean Anderson ("Jack O'Neill") will guest-star on the new show. SG-1 cast member Gary Jones ("SSgt Walter Harriman"), meanwhile, told fans he would also appear in the new series and fans could not be more pleased. "Rick is doing episodes of Universe, he was just here yesterday shooting an episode of Universe with us. So that relationship is always ongoing, and it's good to have him back."

The show's fifth episode, "Earth," is currently filming and is likely one in which Anderson will appear.
For his part, Jones appeared on stage at Creation Entertainment's official Stargate convention in Vancouver, Canada, and told fans that he is appearing in an episode of Universe with Anderson.

He said that Gen. O'Neill will have been promoted to three-star general for the episode they filmed together.
Jones added that he was asked to appear in the Universe premiere, "Air."

Stargate Universe: a spinoff of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, follows the adventures of explorers who start off on a reconnaissance mission to the Destiny, a ship built by the Ancients, only to wind up on a never-ending mission when the crew learns the ship can't return to Earth.
Stargate Universe will premiere later this year and stars Robert Carlyle, Justin Louis, Brian J. Smith, Alaina Huffman, David Blue, Ming-Na and Lou Diamond Phillips. Source: SciFi Wire

Amanda Tapping answers the fans' questions

Stargate and Sanctuary alumni Amanda Tapping answers the Stargate fans' questions over at Joe Mallozzi's blog, fan Ngan started the ball rolling with, “1. What’s your take on Sam’s and Jack’s relationship? Dating, Engaged, Married?”

AT: Sleeping together…once he’s retired. Crazy, mad, passionate love. Way too much sexual tension for it not to pay off. Then, they’ll take it from there. Dating….Fishing….Dating…..

“2. Do you want to see an acknowledgement of their relationship in the next movie? If so, will there be one?”

AT: I’d like to see some pay off for all their years together. But, I don’t have any say in that.

“3. What are the chances you can get either RDA or Michael Shanks or Chris Judge to guest star in an upcoming Sanctuary episode?”

AT: I would welcome any and all of them. I do think it’s important that Sanctuary be seen as an entirely separate entity in its own right. But having said that I’d would work with any of the boys again in a heartbeat. Continue reading >>

'Continuum', Claudia Black, a stunning performace'

Claudia Black, our fantasic Aussie made Claudia!

Not enough credit has been given to this Australian woman and her acting prowess. Ms Black played Vala Mal Doran on the now defunct Stargate SG-1 and signed on to do Stargate Continuum. That performance was stunning, violent, but stunning.

Poor Baal. (Cliff Simon). Mr Simon was in Australia to attend Convention in Adelaide, South Australia a short time back. It is common knowledge the man loves our country and so the script was adjusted for Cliff to give us an Oi. Well done Stuart of Adelaide, SA 5000.

Other stunning performances, Richard Dean Anderson, Ben Browder, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Michael Shanks, Beau Bridges, Don S Davis, Cliff Simon , and my favourite male actor of all time William Devane as President Henry Hayes.

Music by Joel Goldsmith was wonderful, the piece was written by Brad Wight, produced by Mr Wright and Rob Cooper and directed by the extremely accomplished director Martin Wood

Stargate Continuum hits Australian shores

Stargate Continuum has indeed hit Australian shores and it hit these very shores today. That headline has been written like that since the Seven network started playing silly buggers with the schedule at Season 5 of Stargate SG-1.

They did the right thing for Season 8 after a lot of legwork by Stargate News Australia and the Stargate SG-1 readers and helpers of that news site but it didn't last. (SGNA is now defunct after umpteen years on the 'net)

Now Stargate Atlantis is suffering the same fate as SG-1 at the hands of the suits at that same network, but fans wont be denied, there are ways and means not only with Stargate but also other SciFi
