THE SIMPSONS GET STAMP OF APPROVAL, Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson Become Immortalized On United States Postage Stamps –
Washington — The U.S. Postal Service® and Twentieth Century Fox Licensing and Merchandising (Fox L&M) today announce that the FOX hit series THE SIMPSONS will be commemorated on 44-cent First-Class Mail® stamps in 2009. Featuring the iconic Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson the stamps have been personally designed by SIMPSONS creator and executive producer, Matt Groening. Winner of 24 Emmy Awards, a Peabody Award and a multitude of other accolades, this historic series featuring the five family members is currently the longest-running primetime comedy in television history and is celebrating its 20th anniversary throughout 2009, which will culminate on January 14, 2010.
“This has been a dream for Fox and The Simpsons creative teams for some time and we are very proud to have been granted this honor. Synopsis: HOMER SUSPECTS BART’S NEW FRIEND OF ORCHESTRATING A TERRORIST PLOT ON “THE SIMPSONS”. The Simpson family takes a trip to the Mapple Store at the Springfield Mall where Lisa get her very own Mypod, and Bart interrupts an announcement from Steve Mobbs with his own voiceover, causing pandemonium to break loose in the store. On his way home from the mall, Bart narrowly escapes punishment and befriends a Muslim boy named Bashir. Homer becomes suspicious of Bart’s new friend and invites Bashir, his mother (guest voice Shohreh Aghdashloo) and his father over for dinner so he can investigate their supposed anti-American sentiments. Having already offended Bashir and his family at dinner, Homer goes to their home to apologize, but he instead snoops around their house, a la Jack Bauer, and uncovers what he believes to be a terrorist plot to blow up the Springfield Mall. The race is on as Homer tries to warn the residents of Springfield about the impending disaster

The US FOX Network has released new information on the upcoming Season 20 Simpsons episode Double, Double, Boy in Trouble including guest cast member 1970's American Football hero Joe Montana (as himself) aka Joe Cool, Joe played for two decades and I consider myself lucky to have seen him in action. As an aside the US NFL is on TEN HD Mondays at 1000am

Simon and Bart decide to switch places, and Bart arrives at the lavish Woosterfield mansion only to find football great Joe Montana hanging around the estate.
